Thermal baths Yverdon, five senses in architecture

The aim of this work is the solution spa area includes Yverdon les Bains. The existing facility does not meet both their needs, but mainly it is very closed. Park is closed to the public and within his right in the spa area there are several other barriers. Spa Park means to me park, promenade, people moving and elegance. At this point I feel the potential that could reopen the spa park outside world and effortlessly be connected to the outside world, with reference to its historical and thermal value. Therefore, I leave the pit area as much free, with public functions. The spa itself would not be contrary overload the body, but rather a place to stop and peaceful rest. That is why I put myself into a compact mass flowing above the park, which leave the most relaxed movement of people and devote themselves intimacy baths, views of the surroundings and contact with water, the sky opened atrium. Its shape and facade of the building creates a barrier, but rather is permeable and in contact with their surroundings and park.
Translation of Julio Cortazar into Czech language. Pioneers, suppressed and recent translators: Cortazar's legacy still alive.

(in English): Julio Cortázar is considered as one of the greatest literary figures of Argentina and Latin America of the last century and to him is dedicated this master's thesis, focused on translation of his work into Czech language. First part of the thesis is theoretically based, dealing with biography, creation and style of the author and then moves to figures of his Czech translators, problems arising from translation and perception and development of translations of Cortázar's works in Czech environment. The second part is practically oriented, pursuing the analysis and comparison of translations of specific works - two translations of a story The Pursuer by translators Kamil Uhlíř and Jan Machej and two versions of translation of a novel Hopscotch by Vladimír Medek.
Dispute over Catholic and Protestant notions of purgatory in the 16 century

(in English): Presented work explores dispute over Catholic and Protestant notions of purgatory in the beginning of 16th century. The aim of this work is to analyse differences in perspective on Scripture and reasons which led Protestant theologians to rejection of the doctrine of purgatory. Due to limited space of the work, several key documents were chosen to portray how protestants theologians challenged existence of purgatory. The first part of the text summarizes the development of the idea of purgatory and gives an overview of the perception of purgatory in the 16th century in order to provide basis for better understanding of the topic. The following part introduces different views present in protestant movement in Germany and among Swiss reformed theologians. The last part of this text describes the development of council of Trent where controversial questions raised by protestant theologians were addressed so as to redefine the doctrine of purgatory for the following centuries. This bachelor thesis deal with residential roof gardens, with their evolution from the days of modernism to the present. Literary section explains the circumstances of formation these forms gardens. It also focuses on the work of architect Le Corbusier, who was very much involved in their progression. Examples of current realizations of roof gardens open to public and private are showed to outline of the current problems. The work also touches the theme of the sky, which is connected with this work. In all of these examples, it is clear the different conceptions raised gardens, which have in common that they can evoke feeling in the visitor or the owners that they are closer to heaven. The content of second part of the work is the presentation of the study roof gardens on a model example of two roof terraces shopping centre Karolina in Ostrava. The work aims through design and literary part to highlight the benefits of rooftop gardens in all their forms and point to the possibility of creating these garden-architectural forms.
